How Does It Work?
We Pop Up in your neighborhood for a limited amount of time. You bring your broken stuff in and leave a deposit, we fix it (usually – we have an 85% success rate), and you come pick it up. At the Greenmarket, you bring your item one week, we take it away and fix it, and bring it back, usually the next week, unless we need to order parts.
How Does It Work?
We fix household items of all kinds: almost anything in your house that you can carry to the shop. Some examples: chairs, lamps, jewelry, appliances, toys, clothes, curios, tools, frames, glasses, etc. We don’t do: shoes, bikes, iPad screens, software problems, very fine jewelry, clothing mends that require a fitting (alterations).
What Are Your Prices?
When you bring your object in, we will make an estimate. Below is are some examples of prices – this list is a guideline only — we need to look at each item to make an accurate estimate. Every object breaks in a different way!
Lamps: $35 – $45 including standard parts
Jewelry: from $25 for simple fixes to $100+ for a complex re-stringing
Appliances: $35 and up, plus parts
Furniture: from $30 for minor fix to $150 and up for bigger jobs
Toys: these vary widely!
Clothing and textiles: $20 and up, depending on degree of complexity.
FOR APPLIANCES AND ELECTRONICS:
We charge a $15-$20 diagnostic fee. If we can fix the item, the diagnostic goes towards the price of the repair. If we can’t fix it, the fee covers our time spent opening the item, looking for parts, etc.

Prices do not include sales tax.
How Do I Pay?
We require a $10 deposit for all items ($15-$20 for appliances and electronics). If we fix your object, the deposit goes towards the final price. If we cannot fix your item (except appliances, see below) we refund your deposit.
Note: We charge a $10 – $20 diagnostic fee for appliances and electronics. I.e., if we CAN NOT repair your appliance/electronic, we retain your initial deposit. We will dispose of it responsibly for you if you like.
You pay the remainder of the fee when you pick up. CASH ONLY! Prices do not include sales tax.
Will You Take/Resell/Dispose Of Stuff I Don’t Want?
Basically, no. We are unable to accept items for resale, consignment, or disposal.
One exception: appliances/electronics that we try and fail to fix. If we try but CANNOT fix your electronic or appliance and you don’t want to come get it, then we will dispose of/recycle it responsibly.
How Long Will It Take And How Do I Know When My Stuff Is Fixed?
Most repairs are relatively quick (a few days), unless we need to order parts. When your item is fixed, we will give you a call. Then you can come get your stuff!
What If I Don’t Get My Stuff Before You Are Gone?
Please do everything you can to retrieve your item in a timely fashion. After we finish a Pop Up, we are not able to hold items for pickup. If you can’t come get your item, send a friend!
After that, at our discretion, we can arrange pickup times at a location we determine. We are obliged to charge a fee for special pickup times.
